Regions to visit in ACT

To visit the different parks and attractions in the ACT, private transport is needed, as most parts are inaccessible by public transport. Here are a few places that may be of interest to you, however they are certainly not all that the ACT has to offer its residents and visitors.

Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve

The reserve is forty minutes driving time, southwest from Canberra, and has bush walking tracks, facilities and forms part of the Australian Alps.

Namadgi National Park

The park is also part of the Australian Alps, and has opportunities for bush walking and mountain biking. Camping is possible in sections of the park.

Corin Forest Recreation Playground

The playground consists of different rides - water-slides open during Summer, and a snowmaking area open during Winter, as well as other attractions open all year round.

Canberra Space Centre

The Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, is forty kilometres southwest of Canberra., of which the centre is open to visitors, free of charge.
