South Australia has many interesting and scenic regions both along its coastline, and in the hills and ranges that surround Adelaide. The following are just a few of the areas you can visit in the state.
Adelaide Hills

Kangaroo Island
You can reach Kangaroo Island by ferry or plane, with city links from Adelaide. The Island has wildlife, places to stay, and at least one third of the area is a National or Conservation Park.
Barossa Valley
One of Australia’s best known wine regions, there are places to stay, tours to take, and it’s only an hour’s driving time from Adelaide.
Yorke Peninsula
An hour and a half’s drive west of Adelaide, is Yorke Peninsula – beaches, fishing, sea-life and seaside towns.
