Living in South Australia, Adelaide

South Australia is the southern central part of Australia, and is bordered by all of the states and territories except the ACT and Tasmania.

South Australia has a population of one and a half million people, the majority of which live in and around the capital city, Adelaide.  A large proportion of South Australia is semi-arid or arid land, however it has mountain ranges, and is more temperate around the coastal area, where Adelaide is situated.

South Australia is also the only state to be settled by free settlers, instead of being a convict/penal settlement, and it was also first in the world to allow women to stand for parliament (1894).

South Australia’s temperatures are higher than those of other southern states – Victoria and Tasmania [Wikipedia: South Australia(Australia)].

This section provides information about accommodation, transport, and health care; that can assist with living in South Australia.
