Living in Western Australia, Perth

Western Australia covers the entire western length of Australia, bordered by Northern Territory and South Australia.  Perth, Western    Australia’s capital city, has a population of almost one and half million people, and is the most isolated city in the world, in terms of distance from other major world cities.

Perth is also Australia’s fastest growing economy and population, with many migrants arriving from the U.K. and Asia [Wikipedia: Western Australia(Australia)].

Perth overlooks the Swan River, and is only a short distance from beautiful beaches.  Rottnest Island and Kings Park are just a couple of places worth visiting within easy distance from the city centre.

Western Australia’s main economy comes from mining, and most of the state is considered semi-arid, with desert conditions.

Perth itself has temperate conditions, and has high temperatures all year round, as compared to the southern states in Australia, such as Victoria and Tasmania [Wikipedia: Western Australia(Australia)].

This section provides information about accommodation, transport, and health care; that can assist with living in Western Australia.
